Our Lead Pastors

Luke has lived in the Handsworth area and served our church his whole life. Leah joined the church when she moved to Sheffield as a teenager and has served our church since.

They’ve been married 19 years and have four children.

Both have a passion for the local church with a focus on helping people in need and encouraging people to find a real relationship with God. They feel strongly that the church is supposed to grow and be full of life.

The Team

Our Vision

Vision is what we are working towards and so everything we do as a church will help us move closer to fulfilling the vision. So here it is, this is what we are working to achieve:

Showing Grace

We will build a church where people feel loved and known; from the moment you join us you will sense the genuine joy our members have to be in each others company and the ease of being included. We show each other grace. This means that we forgive, we love, we serve each other. We’re not about position and title, we’re about love and service. Our aim is to create a family together that others will want to be a part of, one that gives people a place to belong.

Sharing Grace

We will build a church that glorifies God in everything it does and that is unashamed of the Gospel. We are proud of Jesus and of our church. So we tell people about it. We recognise that we have a mission to share the gospel with others and we do this in a loving and respectful way. Our aim is to create a church that is focused on sharing our faith and to create opportunities to do so. Of course “Sharing Grace” doesn’t stop at salvation; we will pass on what God has done in us to others, teaching them and discipling them to grow closer to God and to increase their knowledge of him and his word. We’re committed to making others great.

Giving Grace

We will build a church that the community feels connected to and is known as the place to go to be looked after well. We follow Jesus’ example of meeting people right where they are. The bible teaches us to look after the poor, the widow, the foreigner and the outcast and so we work to do that. We believe that often the best way to show God to someone is to show them the love of God through meeting their needs. Our aim is to be known in our community as the “church that cares”

Our Values

A value is something that you feel strongly about and shapes the way you do life. We have seven core values

Always God

First and foremost we exist to honour and glorify God

All in

It takes everyone to build a church and so get involved, serve, give, love.

Always People

Secondly we love and serve others.

Invitational

We have something great and we want to share it. The gospel will be shared at every opportunity.

Graceful

We forgive each other.

Purposeful

Everything we do works towards the vision and has a reason. We don’t cling to the past and to the method, we’re focused on moving forward.

Empowering

We trust until proven otherwise. We give people a chance and we allow for people to learn. You can feel safe having a go!

Our Mission

The mission represents the vehicles we use to fulfil our vision. Each “vehicle” is focused on the vision and is outworked with our values. Here’s some of the work and ministries we do:

Youth // Childrens // Young adults // Men’s // Women’s // Foodbank // Recovery // Community // Small groups

It’s our hope that there is something for everyone to get involved in
